The Havana Cigar Cutter

Head to the grindstone...

In light of the recent thread about these being discontinued, I wanted to review this top performer. I was lucky to be gifted one by Klugs, but was reluctant to try it for a while because I thought how could a single blade cutter be better than my double bladed guillotine.

Finally, I gave it a shot. It provided a nice clean cut for a variety of ring gauges, topping out at about 50. Actually, I have to say its better than my cutter.

Final Thoughts:
High performance in a small chassis.

Widely regarded as the BEST single cigar cutter on the market--perfect cut every time with very little effort. High-carbon spring loaded blade with a locking position. Ultra slim and compact. This is not the generic 'logo' version we provide to retailers, this is the 'aficianodo' model.

While I have not had any experience with "high-end" cutters such as Xikar, I will go out on a limb and say that these little puppies produce the best cut you can get for the money.

Dave sent me one of these. Great little cheapie. Cut isn't as neat as my Palio, but a good cutter nonetheless.

It seems Klugsie is responsible for so much. I got one of these from Dave as well, ever since then I have hardly used my Xikar... which kinda bugs me cause I only got it a couple of weeks prior to Dave sending me this little baby. Awesome little cutter.

Great cutter.

Klugs gave me one as well. I use it all the time.

It works as good as my Xikar. Plus its alot cheaper.

:c Why did they discontinue this cutter. They always discontinue the good stuff !

Frank & Anita gave me one of these and more times than not I'll reach for it over my Xikar. I've cut bunches of cigars with it and it stll seems sharp as ever. I hate to hear that they're not going to be available anymore.

Mine is still kickin'!! Cuts like a mofo', and always cuts 'em clean ;)

And for about half the price of sales tax on a Xikar, I gotta say these are one helluva deal!!

how much do they cost? I think its time to upgrade my little single blade cutter I got at Turning Stone Casino for $1, even though it still cuts decent

Great little cutter. I've got to get me some more though. I've lost one or two, gave a couple of them away, and I just sent my last one over to my Adopt-A-Soldier.

Discontinued!?!?!? Oh NO!!!

I love my Havana! I had a Xikar and have a Palio, for cigars under 50 guage I prefer the cut of this little baby. I gave away all of them I had save for one and now BargainHumidors doesn't have them!!! This sucks!

Gonna have to look for that thread

The seller is none-other than mhotek, a member of our beloved forum, and owner of bargainhumidors.com. Definitely trust-worthy.

At the time I posted this link, there were 994 available. Stock up! ;)

Makes me angry is what it does. Hey Bro how about coughing up a 100 at the volume price ($ 2.00) for us? I emailed back and forth with them on this 10 days ago. No gots.

Mhotek how about coughing up a 100 of these for a good customer?

Well he moved to Texas, and in a few years he'll be "naturalized" enough that we can start calling him a Texan. But for now, he's still a "damn buckeye"! :r

You'd think there'd be a discount for buying a 100 of these, though....

I'm with you in finding myself reaching for this more times than not over my Xikar. Thanks Klugsy
