TheCigarFO Peruvian Ligero Churchill

So I'm going to start shipping out for the split tomorrow and decided I'd give one of these a try. I bought 'em sight unseen, review unread. I like most cigars with Peruvian tobacco so decided the price was right to gamble.

The construction is solid, not exactly the prettiest thing but by no means bad. It was kinda spongey but still drew well after clipping. The initial light brought sweet cocoa, hints of vegetation and some clove/nutmeg impression. I was impressed.

Knowing this thing was inexpensive I smoked it slow. It took me about 20 minutes to smoke 2". After the initial 2" though it got harsh and I got a tongue bite not dissimilar to pipe. I tried purging but it wouldn't go away. I tossed the stick. :(

I think this will improve with age and the 9 more I have will be sitting for a while. The potential is amazing.

4/10 for harshness.
