There's no mold like anejo mold

I've wondered about that--can you smoke moldy cigars? Ok, obviously you can... but are there health issues?
When the visible part of the mold (the fruit bodies creating the spores) shows up the tobacco in the cigar is already invaded by the fungus and whiping it or cutting away a small part of the foot will not help much!

But, I´m totally convinced that the pyrolysis (burning) of fungus will not produce anything more harmful than what is already in the smoke from the tobacco. Eating mold or breathing large quantities of spores is completely different and can be bad for you, depending on what kind of fungus you were exposed to!

BamBam, since we are good friends, I feel the need to make a comment on that you are unreal about having links to sites that answer the exact question someone was asking, only you:), your to smart for your own good:tpd:

Oh there's no doubt about it.....I am a touch obsessed when it comes to cigars

dust em down annd smoke em up, no worries with spots on a wrapper

if it gets into the foot that's a different story, no telling how far in it's growing and that's just creepy if not flavor altering
