They charge what?

You have to try to see it from a perspective on their end. Davidoff's is not in Vegas to really cater to the cigar masses there. They are mainly catering to the once a year, walk-in, spur of the moment buyer. Think about it. They know all too well that regular cigar smokers are not going to travel to a high end hotel in Las Vegas with the sole intent of buying cigars.

The one thing they do know is that if a guy just walked off the crap table 5K ahead of his 200.00 buy in, and he just happens to want a cigar to celebrate his victory, he'll pay anything no matter the price. I seen a guy at The Venetian buy him & his buddy 2 Opus "A"s at over 120 a pop. I started to laugh until the stickman told me he just finished making over 40 passes and cleared just over 35K. What is 250 bucks to a guy like that? Exactly. Its chump change in the spur of the moment of victory over the casino. They will charge what the market will bear, and in a city of excess like Las Vegas its all too evident.

Well said. I also think that there are a lot of people there that will smoke a cigar in Vegas that don't normally smoke cigars. They don't know what they should pay and see a $56 cigar and think it's going to be the best. Little do they know, they are getting ripped off.

:r they ain't getting ripped off, you are just getting a deal.. or that's what they will tell their friends.:D:D

Yeah, the only reason I walked over there was because I forgot mine and didn't feel like hiking back to the hotel. Either way they got you. You're either a cigar smoker stuck without smokes or a passer-by celebrating. Maybe next time I'll buy some Cremosas and sell them for $50/stick. I'm sure with the proper sales pitch I can convince them that the wet dog smell is just the sweet aroma of the finest, aged tobacco. I'd probably make more money doing that than gambling.

Casa's prices are not THAT bad considering where they are. I stop there every time I am in Vegas. This last time, I just bought a GOF for $35 (worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY) and a Casa Fuente House cigar (Corona sized) for $18. Worth it, IMHO.

Oh yeah sometimes you can get better prices there than other places on the strip for the same cigar, but they have other cigars in there for 80-100 a stick!

lol as for the absurd alochol prices...put it this way, the money you spend for a glass of wine is the price the restaraunt pays for the bottle, and maybe even less....that's how it is for us
