Tried 3 newer lines made by Pepin Garcia

Bubba -NJ

Second Class Citizen
Recently on a trip to Holt's I was looking for some of the newer marca's from Pepin Garcia . What I bought was 1 each of the following - San Cristobal(Supremo), Vegas Cubanas(Generosos) and Casa Royale(Imperial) all in the Toro size(6x50) . I wasn't all that wild about the San Cristobal . However I really liked the Casa Royale and the Vegas Cubanas and they will both be tried again soon . I smoked the VC today and really enjoyed it for it's delicate mild flavor . The CR was smoked about a week ago and was a nice medium flavorful smoke , definitely stronger then the VC . So it's safe for me to say that I really like what Pepin Garcia is doing with Nicaraguan tobacco . So if you haven't tried any of these , give them a shot . :tu

Of the three you mentioned I've only had the SC and have really enjoyed it. I picked up a Tatuaje Verocu No. 2 today and if thing tastes like it smells I'm gonna be in heaven. I agree, I too really like what DPG is doing with the Nic tobacco.

I've been curious about the Casa Royale. I picked up a few Vegas Cubanas a few weeks ago but haven't fired them up. I love the San Cristobal as well as most other Pepin sticks.

Nice scores, I'm dying to try the Casa Royale and I just bought a Vegas Cubana that is resting in the humi. The C has become one of my new favorites. Another Pepin I just tried was the El Rey De La Habanos and it was fantastic as well.

I'm with you, I didn't care to much for the San Cristobol (I had the Classico). I will have to give the other 2 a try though, as the SC and the Old Henry are the only Pepin cigars I have tried and haven't really liked.

I haven't been impressed with any of the Pepins' I've tried. Most were OK but nothing to make me go out of my way to get another one.

The Casa Royale was surprisingly well balanced for a cheaper Pepin stick. I believe I smoked the church, it was a pass puff special. Very pleased...
