The reason I ask is that I've seen several posts that specifically state that a cigar was a tubo. I have some RyJ R#2 and Partgas shorts that were tubos. I've sent them for trades but didn't specify that they were tubos. Does that make a difference?

Never seen a Short in a tubo. :dr I love SigII tubos.:tu
I have tried a few cigars that come in both the Tubes and non. I never noticed any real difference between the two that would convince me to buy the Tubo version over the box.
I do however, ocassionally buy non-perfecto shape cigars in Tubo versions because I like to re-use the tubes. They make great travel companions in my pocket and prevent the cigar from being crushed.
Tubos are supposed to keep the humidity locked in for looooong periods of time or so I have read, but have not tested this theory myself.
Is there a difference between a tubo version of a cigar vs. a boxed version?
