Unhappy with Humidor purchase!!

Not sure is dsabot is Dave from Cheaphumidors, but he has been great with me every time I have dealt with them.

I just got an imperfect from cheaphumidors. The imperfect had a minor interior scratch in the cedar. Shipping was fast too. It seems like a reputable site. I know I'd order from them again.:)
 
I am glad to see everything turned out. When I get back to the states thats who I was thinking about going through to get my first humi. I am still on the fence through I my just use the money to get coolers. and set those up. They are a lot cheaper.

But I am glad everything worked itself out.


I almost went the cooler route but decided it would be nice to have an attractive desktop. I could see using a cooler to store entire boxes for aging. It's nice having a nice humidor setting out for people to see. It makes a lot of sense to just use a cooler if you have a lot of sticks (which I don't :hn)

I got my cabinet from them and it has served me well. But I am moving up to an Aristocrat because of the Temp/humdity features.
When I first got it the small roller catch was broken. Cost $1.49 to replace it.

Well, I get my cheaphumidors humidor in today, so we shall see. I'm hoping it will be as nice as the photos looked, or nicer :)

I figure anything that relies on a snug seal and is made of wood may require some fidgeting after being shipped through a box-masher like UPS, Fedex, DHL, or otherwise.
 
...and for the record, the humidor I recieved is awesome. Nice whoosh as I let the lid close, everything is nice and tight, etc.


Calibrating the hygrometer as we speak, and hopefully I can get conditioning started tonight. The pictures on the site didn't do this humidor justice (The Royal Vista).

I also had a very bad experience with cheaphumidors.com . I ordered one of their "starter" humidors and did not get all of the items promised. I e mailed CS and he kept trying to upsell me on some other item. I wound up having to go through Amazon to get a partial refund on the item(s) I bought.

I dont make much noise about it ((As I was told that the person who runs cheaphumidor.com is a member here)) But I will never do business with them again.
Yeah, I orderred three humidors, two plain and one with the big tobacco leaf on it. They shipped the two plain, but not the design one. The tracking information confirmed that only two packages were ever shipped, and I GOT them, the plain humidors, But never got the tobacco leaf one, the one I really wanted, but my emails of complaint were ignored completely. Problem is, people order from them all the time without doing a simple forum search at ANY forum that would tell them immediately that there are plenty of pissed customers to go with any happy ones. STAY AWAY.

What? Are you serious? This is exactly the place for it to be handled. How else can one save people from making the same mistake another person already made?
These guys still owe me a humidor, but they did not even reply to the email I sent, kindly and calmly telling them that they failed to ship one of the three humidors I ordered. Of course, they billed my Credit card for all three, but they only shipped two. I gave it an extra week and then emailed them to ask why they had not yet shipped the tobacco leaf motif box. No response. As time went on, the emails got more serious in tone, but it didn't matter, they were not going to hear it. Once they had their money, I guess they figured I was trying to scam them or something. But no response? Shame on em. But at least they don't get any more of my money, and at least I still have forums like these where I can bitch about it non-stop, every time I am reminded that it happened. Screw Cheaphumidors dot com. I hope they get A#$S.
 
Sorry to hear that One Lonely Smoker. I personally have never had an issue with cheaphumidors.com and have used them multiple times in the past.
 
Same here.. Always had good service and communication with Cheaphumidors.COM. Even during thier move in the spring, they shipped an item as scheduled and without delay. I'd reccomend them and buy from them again.

How do they have your money? Because they billed you for 3? So? Unless you have the worst credit card company in the world all you have to do is call the CC company and tell them to adjust the charge. It is as simple as that. The credit card company will immediately refund you and then cheaphumidors will have to prove they sent you all 3 to the cc company.
