University of Pittsburgh Cigar Club (pics)

Mr. Ed

A horse is a horse...
Hey guys, I would just like to share some pictures from our latest meeting.

1 1/2 years ago when I founded this club with some friends we just used to smoke outside in he freezing cold. Now we have a private room where we meet, eat, talk, bull$hit, and most importantly smoke cigars once a week.

Meeting so many people that bond and enjoy themselves over these rolled up fermented leaves is really a trip. Words don't describe how amazing this hobby of ours really is.

Here are some pictures. They are thumbnails, just click on them to see some hi-def pictures.

Go for it! You would be surprised how many BOTLs you find lurking out there on campus. It's really a great experience.

I'm impressed... glad you have such a great group of BOTLs to smoke with. Looks like a good spot for it! :tu

Id love to get something like that set up here. But there isnt any indoor places that hthey would let us use to smoke in. :hn

If its not too much trouble, could you write up a post on how you got things started? I'd like to do one here but, frankly, with the way things have been going in the tobacco world, I think it would be difficult to get a club off the ground. Think you could share the wealth?

Looks like a good club bua are all of you yung 'uns spending all of your money on cigars? Save a few bucks for haircuts.:r

That looks like a great time, wish I had one back in college. You seem to have a ton of Pitt football victory cigars....ooops:ss

We are actually a university certified club. Just go to your university/ college student organizations office and talk to them. I cannot speak for other universities, but at Pittsburgh it is pretty easy to start up a student organization. All you need is ten signatures and e-mails, a faculty advisor, and constitution and you are set. I'm sure if you went to the student organizations office at your school you will not run into any problems. We are able to get money for events and guest speakers, but not for tobacco as I'm sure is the case at other universities.

If you have a group of friends you smoke with often, it's worth a shot!

At Florida Southern College, where I go to school, we sit outside in front of the residence halls every Wednesday night and have our FSC Wednesdays, where we have (F)ilosophy Smoking, and Coffee. A great time is had by all. If you ever have a chance to start a group like this, there is no reason not to!!!
