Has anybody thought of a good use for cigar bands? I love collecting my old bands after smoking the cigar. I like the different colors, engravings, shapes, artwork. When I started smoking cigars, I saved each in a log, with dates, notes about the cigar taste and experience, etc. After a few months, quit the log but have continued throwing them into an old empty cigar box. Kinda like the idea of chronicling the slide down the slippery slope by keeping the bands. Looking for ideas on how to display/use them. I'm thinking of gluing them down on a table top and coating with polyurethane, to set my ashtray on while smoking outside. Anybody else keep their bands around for old times sake?
