using bigger bags for the salt test

I'd think the volume of the bag would require more volume of salt/water. I think the home-brew salt test is hokey anyway. Real world RH testing is done with a specific size container with a specific amount of salt and a specific amount of water. Not "about this much salt, and this much water"
 
Hrm, don't know about the bigger bag theory here guys. If you haven't seen the size of the boveda calibration bags they sell, they are VERY small (probably half the size of a sandwich-sized ziploc). I'd have to say smaller is better just based on what the "pros" engineered. For the money, I just get the adjustable hygrometer and test it out once every year or so with one of these bags:

larger bag means more time, or a larger humidipak. How long to test or how much larger a humidipak is the real question. Use the calibration kit from Humidipak. Thier science guys have it all figured out.
