Vancover BC

Me and the family are headed up to Vancover BC, after makeing stops in Oregon and Seattle Washington this next week. Can anyone point me in the direction of a cool B&M to enjoy a smoke in Vancover?

I'm pretty sure that Vancouver is just as restrictive as Washington meaning no smoking indoors anywhere -- B&Ms included. Best get your fill of B&M cigar bonding in before you leave Oregon. Other than a few small lounges on tribal land there's absolutely nothing of interest for a cigar lover in the Seattle area. At least Vancouver has the forbidden fruit to lust after.

Vancouver Cigar used to be a big B and M, and they had a lounge and good selection. Now they are in a very small office suite, and I doubt you can smoke there. City Cigar has by far the best selection in the city, but because of our smoking ban the lounge is no longer open to the public. If you want to see the most variety check out the LCDH or City Cigar. If you want to find a place for a stick, there are a couple of restaurants that have found a way around the ban. If the weather is nice, Stanley Park has some great spots to relax and puff. Enjoy your trip.

Vancouver in September... Who'd want to smoke inside? We need to stretch out our smoking season as LOOOOOONG as possible before hibernating. :D

That SUCKS!!! They used to be the goto shop for me. Mind you I still order lots, but they were always very welcoming to out-of-province folks.

City Cigar is what I was recommended when I went there a month ago - I found it accidentally.

Stanley Park rocks, so that'd be a good place to smoke, but you have to pay for parking everywhere in the damned city, including the park (I never did, because we only stopped for short stints, but a cigar isn't a "short stint").

I would pass on Cohiba sublimes if you see them in Vancouver cigar, otherwise bring lots of cash as Cubans are really, really expensive up there. I bring my own cigars when visiting Canada. My favorite shop in Halifax disappeared to boot.

Hey, I'm headed up there too this week.
Thanks for the info. I'm just sitting here making my selections for my travel humi (tupperware).

So there's no problem taking cigars into the country?

A read a thread about how they confiscate your stogies on the way back into the U.S..

No problem. You can bring 15 in and 10 out, according to the research I did planning my trip that was in July. I never had a problem bringing cigars back to the States that I bought here.

And by expensive, these BOTLs mean $30 for a churchill. I was there.
