With thunder starting to echo through my humble abode I decided to hasten to my nightly cigar ritual. Time seemed to be perfect as the storm slowed to a crawl. The wind started from nothing to a light breeze under the graying skies.
Tonight it would be Solomon Kane who entertained me.
A true contrast to the grim visage of Kane I chose the Vibe Corojo Robusto for my tasting enjoyment. Even though I haven't read a passage that stated Kane enjoyed a cigar I tend to think he might have that vice in his Puritan ways.
I worked the machine like jaws of my Palio cutter to clear them then applied the blades to do their grim deed again signaling the doom of this cigar. The sweet prelight draw was perfect. The flame from my jet light was hotter than the very flames of hell as i toasted the foot to a black as black as a moonless eve.
Inspecting my handy work I replaced the Vibe in between my teeth and applied the flame again rotating the cigar to get an even burn.
Tasting a subtle sweet woodlike flavor I opened to the bloodthirsty pages to see where Solomon Kane would be taking me tonight.
The thunder now closer was only preceded by the lightning by seconds. I knew I had time but not much. The surprising smoothness of this cigar was in stark contrast to its green, gold, and black band which to me signaled a harsher cigar. Never judge a cigar by its band I guess.
While Kane solved the mystery of the haunting of a lonely stretch of road while wrestling with the undead the Corojo burned fairly evenly and smoothly.
