viva las vegas!!!

The sport book is a tobacco friendly area...however, some do have no smoking areas in them...I do know that the better books (Caesar's, The Venetian, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay...) all allow smoking....other places in the casino may have the Nascar races on, but baseball, NBA Finals, horse-racing will be dominating a lot of the screens. You may want to find a book with a lot of screens...or, 40/40, Jay-Z's Non-club club (its an Ultra-Sports Lounge at the Palazzo) will have a higher likelihood to be showing it because of the fact that they have private TVs EVERYWHERE...

On my way out from socal as we speak! Where's the best place within walking distance from the mgm to get opus?

If you are staying at the MGM, Opus is readily available right in the casino...Davidoff sells more Opus per year that Casa Fuente...

Casa Fuente is awesome on a few levels, and you will know what I mean when you get there. The drinks, especially the mojitos are also noteworthy. I smoked my first Opus there, a corona I believe it was a #4 and loved it..... I'm sure it was largely due to a few factors, but it has made me look for some, which is impossible. Have fun, great town.

Thank you everyone for your help. My friend and I just left Casa Fuente. Place was amazing! I wanted to stay and have a drink and a smoke, but we weren't exactly treated well. I don't know if its cus of how we were dressed (we had just come from the pool) or be cause we look/are young, but what every the reason the "nice" man there decided to check our ids after the beautiful lady did. Then followed us like a hawk. So we figured we should just make our purchase and leave. While making my purchase (bought 2 opus, #4 and #8) he checked my id again cus I payed with a card, and asked me "who's card is this?" I'm like really? I guess he didn't read the name right or something.

Anyway, the place was amazing, but my experience sadly was not. Its tough being a chimp in a gorillas world I guess.

Do not take your treatment there as an insult...unfortunately, in this city, credit card theft is a major issue, so if they ask small questions pertaining to your identity..let it be...they have to....on top of that...if you do look young, they are going to be tougher because of the large number of possible state auditors on the lose in this city...

Anyway....look us in the LV crew up...wee are more than willing to join in on a smoke...

Just got back this am. We had to take the walk down to the Casa Fuente boutique and check it out. It was 104 there so we hung around in the AC for awhile. Bought my first short story to smoke and it was very nice. Also picked up a Casa for the humi.

I can't wait for August to get here for my Vegas trip. My wife recently bought tickets to see George Carlin while were out there. It's going to be a great vacation Carlin, nascar at the book, cigars, gambling, and booze.

August will be warm.

Wow, you buy tickets and we lose him. There were so many times when I thought about buying tickets to see him, guess now I know that if I want to see a show or a person, to do it.

I actually just found out that I'm heading to Vegas this weekend and I'm staying at the MGM!! BTW, do any of you take torches on the plane or is it not worth the trouble? I can't remember what the rules are anymore.

Just beware...regardless of where you go to buy Opus X or the even better Padron Anniversarios on the Strip, you will be shelling out a large amount of money. Especially when there are much better cigars than the Opus X too be had for a portion of the price...go with those, you will end up a lot happier...

Thanks for the advice guys -- I need to heed it, because I'm a sucker and I know when I see those X's I'll not be thinking about the $. The Davidoff store in the MGM sounds nice. I'll probably have to go to Casa Fuente just because I never have before.

I haven't been to Vegas since 2002, where I got married at the Paris Chapel. We had 90 people total down there with us, and threw a real nice party at the House of Blues @ Mandalay Bay afterwards. I think the marriage lasted just slightly longer than my hangover, but our intentions were good at the time!

This time, I'm truly flattered to get invited by a couple of dear friends, and I'm really looking forward to a good time! I'll be thinking about you brothers when I fire up whatever it is that I choose.

If you need help finding any particular NC stick...aside from things like the Tatuaje Black or the Padron Milleniums...feel free to ask...most likely it can be had real easily....I know a lot of shops here in town...OFF STRIP...and know you can ALWAYS do better price wise on non-store exclusives....Let me know, I am a willing tour guide..

I will be in Vegas August 16th threw the 20th. I will be in one of the books watching the race on the 17th. I might need a couple of the BOTL to console me on my loss durring the race.:D

I may be out that way in that week of August. I go every month for work, The Hilton is very cigar friendly btw, and I think it's the best book in town.

Also, on a side note. I keep forgetting to take my bic lighter out of my laptop bag, and i've made it through about 6 times so far. I bet if I forget my torch in there, they'll take it.

Just a shout-out to the Vegas folks. I'll be here till Thursday morning. I'm getting ready to head over to Don Pablo now. Hit Casa Fuente late last night after I got here. I'm supposed to eat with our vendor tomorrow, but will probably be free after 8. Any suggestions on places to hit besides these 2?

Joe
