Dont believe they have, but on to more pressing things. Grab a stool and take some notes.

A cigar is put together similiar to a baking a cake. Different ingredients(tobacco leaves) are rolled together to achieve a deisred taste. The rolling process is one of the finer arts and takes years to perfect. This is why some of the most sought after cigars are custom rolled in front of the conisseur. To take something that so much effort is put into, and tear it apart and mix it up is sacriledge. Also, cigars are rolled with fuller sized leaves than you would be able to fit into your "water pipe". Pipe tobacco or weed, are both ground up slightly so that it will pack in the bowl better. There are "flake" tobacco's but thats a whole different story. The gist is that cigars are made that way for a reason. Same with pipe baccy. Both a very different and when attempted to smoke the opposite, deliver undesirealbe results. you cant roll pipe baccy and get a solid cigarand you cant un-roll a cigar and get good pipe smoke.

Hopefully this enlightened you a little bit. One must carry a hard skull to hang around here because you are going to get smacked around every once in a while. You may think it was unwarranted but given time and expansion of knowledge, you will relaize the need for this.
 
Furvert the serious cigar smokers here (myself included) find your idea ridiculos and are trying to tell you thet smoking a whole cigar in a waterpipe is not something anyone here recommends. Smoking the butt of a GREAT cigar in a pipe is acceptable.

What you are doing is not common so recommendations are not going to be easy to find. I suggest you resort to experimentation.

True, and of course i no way mean disrespect. i value everyones opinion if i didnt there would have been no need for me to post .

though i enjoy a good cigar, should it not be my personal choice as to how i wish to smoke it? be it a bit unorthodox

Was unsure if anyone eles had expermented with this before or not so did not know if anyone could reccomend it.

I assure you, i am only diffrent by choice :)
 
i once saw a guy snort lemon flavored salt in highschool

it was funny, he was all teary and red in the face. looked like he had been hit with pepperspray

I have smoked a lot of tobacco and mixes, but you are asking about breaking up cigars (I know some of you other gorillas may have hit on this but I had to respond after the 15th or so post and couldn't keep reading on.) and smoking them, that is just wrong! Research hookahs and mixes that are smoked in them, I do mean legal mixes, although I prefer the others.

Smoke all the tobacco you want in a water pipe, just use the proper tobaccos for it! Cigars are not meant to be smoked like that, they are designed to be smoked the way they are rolled!

if a cigar was meant to be smoked in a bong, they wouldn't bother wrapping it. Now, i respect your choice, but im sure all you are doing is ruining perfectly good cigars, when you could get something better fitted for a pipe.

out of interest, what are you lighting your cigars with

I'll go out on a limber here and say the following...No, you are not enjoying a good cigar if you are tearing it apart and stuffing the entrails into the bowl of a bong. I'm not in your head so I can't speak to what you do or do not enjoy, but I can assure you that it isn't a good cigar you are enjoying. A good cigar reduced to a pile of "shake" tobacco is little more than a cigarette with the paper off. So I say save you money and buy a pack of Marlboros to smoke in your bong.

Or, think about taking up the hookah. I think there will be a little hookah renaissance coming, so the options for it should be more prevalent. You don't have to smoke the fruity molasses tobaccos that are normally used in a hookah, but a hookah would definitely be the answer to your original issue regarding hot smoke. I don't think it gets any cooler than from a hookah.
 
This is a weird question, but to avoid offending someone who might actually want a serious answer, here it goes.

Cigars are not ment to be smoked the way you are asking, but what you do in your house it totaly up to you:D If you enjoy taking a cigar apart and smoking it thru a waterpipe, go for it! The botton line is that cigars are ment for your enjoyment, so smoke them however you get the most pleasure from it. As far as has anyone else has tried it...I think you might be alone on this one. :D

(If you do want to try cigars the "traditional" way again...try one with a fat Ring Gauge...they usually burn a little cooler.)
