What are some good bundle cigars at CI?

These are for my dad. No, I'm not a cheap bastage but he smokes 6+ cigars a day and has a nice selection of decent $10 smokes for special occasions.

I just got the CI catalog and there are at least 10 different bundles all priced about a buck a stick. Any good experiences out there before I take a shot in the dark? Thanks!

Flor de olivas are great but spend another $1.50 can call Rob at Taboo Cigars. I'm sure he'll hook you up with something in your price range and his cigars are great.

CFO #7's but age them a bit. Can't beat them for sixty cents each shipped.

The La Vieja Habana by Drew Estate Cameroons have been surpisingly good. Mild but flavorful. They run about $1.80 each.

Flor de Oliva Are amazing IMHO for the money.

CI also shows the ASTRAL Toros for $49.95 for 25. A bit more than a buck a stick but a good stick. I just bought some for the Moochedor and fishing season. Sampled one on Friday...... mild but damned GOOD.

CFO immediately came to mind for GOOD and CHEAP.

What is the CFO?

I appreciate the other recommendations and may use them in the future but my dad insists I just get come cheapie bundles for him. These would be yard 'gars...spring is here.

Holt's has a lot of great inexpensive cigars, as does Famous, JR, and Mike's. Is there a reason you are looking at CI in particular?

At CI I think the Indian Tabac Classics are a great boxed cigar for under $2 a stick. Also look at the Nestor Reserve Maduro Torpedo Bundles which are $2 a stick.

Check out my cheap smokes thread, linked below in my signature for many more ideas.

Just checking out the catalog and I remember there is a free shipping code for CI floating around somewhere. I'm open to the other suggestions...thanks.

The Ovation cameroon bundle by Alec Bradley for $40 is really a great smoke. I hesitate to tell anyone about them because they might be all gone for me....

Thecigarfo.com. It's run by CS member pmagus. Don't let the amateurish website fool you, you're getting some good cigars for little money. Check out all the reviews in the non-habanos review section.

The Blend #7s come in bundles of 50 for $25 plus $5 shipping.

If you're considering CI (because you really should think about the CFO Blend #7 Reservas, also), go to their auction site, the evil den of no return, Cigarbid. You can usually pick up their lower line bundles for a song & 1/2. Ex: El Mejor Espresso $1.50@ or less, Perdomo Lot 826 Slow-Aged $1.50@ or less, Aristoff White Label $1.25 or less, etc.

Just sumphin to think about.

I'd peruse the site, ask any questions here, then order by PHONE directly with Barbara. Everyones taste varies, but personally I REALLY enjoy the CFO Reserva #7 AGED Torp's. Great YardGars too.

I picked up a bundle of the #7s. Sounds like a decent cigar...I'll probably grab a few next time I see my dad.

Thanks everybody.

Good choice on the CFOs.

You could also check out the Puff For Pennies make a wish. This is exatcly why it was started, to take the guess work out of bundle-buying.:tu
