What brand as let you down the most?

For me it has to be a tie between Fuente and Cohiba. Ive tried every Fuente and find it to be overrated with the exception of Anejos. And with Cohibas I built this thing in my head where the were the cigars of the gods and yet only the Secretos pleases me.

Easily, Fuente's for me too. As for the Cohiba's, I have found none are that great till they have at least 8-10 years on them.

:2

For me it would have to be CC Cohibas. I have had many and they have all been either great or just plain horrible but never somewhere in the middle. I hate picking one up knowing it will be a 50/50 chance that the cigar will be awful. IMO Fuentes( big surprise) have been the most consistent cigar I have ever smoked. I know every time that when I smoke I know what to expect.

I could only say that the only one that has not let me down has been Padron. Everything else has been either ok, decent, bad or what not. Sometimes I find something I think is good, then pick up another and it isn't as good. So I'm smoking up all the singles I've got so I can stock Padrons....

This may not go over real well, but every Montecristo I have smoked has had a very tight draw. Maybe it`s a personal thing, but smokes like the Padron 1926 have a better draw to them. (I mention the 1926 that I`m willing to spend $$ on a good smoke) I really wanted to like Montys, cuz the flavor is tops.

Cohiba - not worth the money IMO. Many others out there at 6-10 a stick that are more enjoyable than the Cohiba any day of the week.

Montecristo. I find most of their cigars 'bleh' and too mild, there just isn't a whole lot of flavor there for me. I also skip most RYJ's, find them either harsh or boring too. :2

Padron.........running and hiding!
MCS

I only like the Padron Anniversary Series :tu

The non-Cuban Cohibas are making a living off their Cuban name sake, because most of the stuff they make is terrible in my opinion.

I would have to go with the Partagas NC. I have never had one that was terrible, but I have never been blown away by one either. I have tried a few different blends (Black, Decades, Spanish Rosado, etc...)Just average smokes at best IMO.

This is pretty easy... Padrons. I've been trying to like them, but I just don't get em. Most Fuentes bite too...

:tpd:

I just smoked a Por Larranaga Exclusivo Alemania that didnt let me down but it definately wasnt what I expected. I expected more change throughout the cigar than I got.

The thing that lets me down about a particular brand is the ratio between cigar and price. I'm not a budget smoker, but price point plays a big part in the back of my head when i'm smoking a cigar.

I think Cohibas taste like $7 cigars. So when they're priced at $20, I would consider that a disappointment.

Padrons x000 series being pretty inexpensive taste BETTER than the $20 Cohibas.

I subscribe to that philosophy.
