What brand as let you down the most?

I'm not sure if it was overhype from reading this board or not but I found Pardons a let down. Camacho Corojo was also a disapointment because of the $7.50 price tag.(alot for a college student)

La Aurora Preferido's. Very tight draw, and lacked flavor. I still have a couple from the sampler so I give them another chance after they rest a while.

I have only had 2, but Tatuaje didn't really do it for me. They weren't bad, but they weren't great either.

(I love the Padron x000 and I'm not afraid to say it!!) :ss

Gurkhas.

Padron X000's. Just don't get it, though the Londres are excellent.

Most of the popular Fuentes. I don't really like Opus, Sungrowns, Hemmingways, or 858's. However I really like the Don Carlos, Maduro Hemmingways, Exquisitos, and DCMs.

Have you tried the Tubos? I have had consistently excellent experiences with the La Aurora Preferidos Tubos. Maybe a bit mild, but they are smooth, cool and have great construction. Maybe it is also just me.

I would have to go with the Partagas NC. I have never had one that was terrible, but I have never been blown away by one either. I have tried a few different blends (Black, Decades, Spanish Rosado, etc...)Just average smokes at best IMO.

I think the worst "premium" cigar I have had is a Partagas Sabroso. Just plain awful taste, but otherwise I have enjoyed Partagas.

It was a Preferido Tubo sample the my wife picked up for me. She went in to get 2 Padron 26 perfectos but the guy talked her into the La Aurora's mabee I am just thinking of what I almost had and its clouding my judgment.

CC Bolivar's for me, just way too mild.

I absolutely love Fuente's and Padron's.

For me it's also Padron. I had a '26 this afternoon and it was good, although a little dry and rough tasting. I'm not buying them any more, and of the ones I have in stock I enjoy 1 out of 4.

Arturo Fuente products are the single most overhyped and unworthy brand on the market in my opinion...every stick tastes the same...biggest let down so far have been the Opus X...That is my opinion.

The one great thing about that line/company is how well Carlito has marketed that brand...plus, he is a wonderful nice man...

I have to agree that the Fuentes line has disappointed me with the exception of the doube chateau maduro.

I also was very disappointed in the Gurkhas I had. Way overpriced in my opinion. I had a box pressed toro legend and the only thing legendary was the lengths I had to go to get a decent drag.

I puffed so hard I thought I was detaching my retinas. Tried a draw poker but it really just made the experience not that enjoyable!!

Just my :2

Padron: I loved the x000 series and the Annys. Now They taste so bland to me.

Fuente: Gave up on Opus, put some away to forget about for a couple of years. I will smoke the sharks though, and BTL.

Camacho: I really tried to like this brand but I just can't. Worst experience would have to be the triple maduro. The thing looked, felt and tasted like a tree branch. :2

Rocky Patels disappoint me more often than not, especially the Vintage 1992.

This thread proves the old saying that for every beautiful woman out there, there's a guy who's sick of her sh*t. Substitute "cigar" for "woman." There's probably not a cigar out there that will get unanimous opinion. Except maybe Cremosas.

Olivas all of them sucked, i dont get why everyone likes them. i still havent tried the Master Blend, thats the only one left to try.

Montecristo .... wtf? nasty flavors, so so construction. i dont get it.
