What do you keep ypur beads in?

I experimented with different types of things, but have found that for me the bags you get from Heartfelt are the easiest to work with. I am too lazy to devise my own method, and they definitely need to be enclosed so I don't knock them all over the floor.

I made a couple "bead pillows" for my coolador. It seemed to me that this design would maximize the surface area of the beads. I used 14 mesh plastic canvas and 6 lb test fishing line to stitch the canvas all the way around. They are about 5" x 6". I have 2 of them in my 120 qt cooler. Each one holds 6 oz. of beads. The total of 3/4 lb. beads seems to work just fine for that size. Very happy with them so far. :tu
Now thats what I need, wish I was inventive like that. :tu

The supplies were very inexpensive and quite simple to make; plastic canvas from a craft store and cheap, thin fishing line from Fleet Farm. Took a little time sewing the pillows shut but it wasn't too bad. The pillows are really rigid so they keep their shape perfectly while standing up. Another bonus is that they take up very little space standing along the cooler walls.

A first for me using beads, thought since I have cigar boxes coming out the gazzo I would either remove the lid, or drill the lid full of holes and set in the desk top and see how it works. :ss

I use a combination of perforated tubes from Heartfelt and sections of panty hose tied off at each end. However, I have toyed with the idea of getting my hands on something like a size 40DD bra and hanging it from the top shelf of my cabinet just to see the reaction. I suspect that thing could hold a pound per cup.:r:chk:chk

careful which box you choose, the beads will soak up oils from wood, discoloring them and potentially reducing their capacity.

Bad Idea to expose them to cedar like that, wood has natural oils that get secreted and the beads tend to absorb that and clog them up and stain them.

Appreciate the 'heads up' on using cigar box, will shop around, so far, found a site where the mesh is included with the beads. :tu
