Heed the warning...LOL!

You can get some great deals at cbid. IMO, it's good for trying out new smokes, especially since you can get 5-packs rather than boxes, if you want to try a few first. The reason it's referred to as the "devil site" is that it can definitely be addicting.

If you can use the site "responsibly", the benefits are there...if not, it could get one "in trouble". My :2

PS: I'm a recovering "Cbidaholic". :)

Listen to God. He invented Cbid to tempt us. Be strong or risk the fall....

i agree fully.

be afraid of c-bid...be very very afraid.

as my other open window contains a browser listing a tempting selection of auction treats.....mwahahahahaha

My humi can't even handle the shipment that I just got. Cbid is responsible for the invention of the coolerdore.

Have fun, but be careful.

It can be expesive and easy to get carried away.

What he said -

Just be smart about it and you will win more than your fair share of bids. Always do your homework first. Check other sites to see what you are getting ready to bid on is selling for - sometimes you need to do the math. Remember that the idea is to get the smokes cheap - not just a dollar off. DO NOT get caught up in bidding wars - those same smokes will come back around again later. Bid on smokes that have multiple counts instead of just one or two. And try to combine your shipping so that your cost is reduced - i.e. ship once a week.

Play it smart, be careful and you will have more smokes than you thought.

Good luck with it.

Solid advice. Definitely do your homework. It blows me away when people bid retail or above. I think it turns into a macho thing sometimes. Be careful and be ready to walk away when the bid goes too high.

Agreed. Check pricing against other online vendors.

Also, a good way to see what past lots have gone for:

copy the cigar info (brand, line, qty) and paste it into 'google'.
Add in 'cigarbid.com' as an additional keyword and you should see a current auction lot...likely the one you are looking to bid on.

Usually there will be a link to either Click on 'more results from cigarbid.com' under the listing, or 'repeat the search with the omitted results included' at the bottom of the page.

Hope that helps !

All this talk got me into the mood to bid tonight and I got one down so far :D

I think CBID is just one the most slippery parts of the slippery slope. It's kinda ebay on crack... I mean for cigars:r. It's give you this great high until that credit card statement comes in the mail.
