What is it about strong smokes

What draws you you to a strong smoke? I have not been smoking too long but I love these things and find myself always searching for strength. Fortunately it looks like there are a lot out there yet. So what is it most about a strong smoke that appeals to you?:ss

Nicotine buzz..... :)
I really dislike the nicotine buzz! Never leaves me feeling good.
I like strong smokes mostly bec I find that a strong cigar has strong full flavor as well. There are exceptions but this is what I found to be true.usually the case.

When I first started smoking I was attracted to stronger smokes. Now I prefer the milder ones.
I attributed it to my inexperienced palette. I needed to feel like I was smoking something, as I couldn't pick out the more subtle flavors of a milder stick. :2

Are we talking about flavor profile? or fullness of nicotine? 2 totalllly difft subjects here
I'm talking about the nicotine content. Of course I prefer something that tastes good, has a nice construction and is strong to boot. Most of the strong cigars I have smoked so far fits this bill. LFD double ligera, La Flor Cubana, Partagas Black. I would not tend to buy something just for strength if it did not hold some promise of flavor as well though.

Gotcha... i just think a lot of people dont yet realize that a "full" flavored cigar has nothing to do with the nicotine content... even though full and full generally go hand in hand

A strong after dinner smoke guarantees me a good nights sleep.

With regards to strong flavor (not nic content)

It's rare for me to get a free 90 minutes to smoke a cigar. Lately I've been getting maybe two a week. For that reason, when I get a full evening free and go to a buddies house to smoke cigars, I will have two cigars back-to-back.

Unless the first cigar is mild flavored, or the second cigar is strong flavored, I pretty much can't taste the second cigar. For that reason I am starting to keep both mild flavor and strong flavor cigars in my humi.

I am not much on the nic buz but I do like the stronger and "spicy"smokes. I like the slight burn in my thoat and the flavor when exhaled through the sinus.

I do enjoy mild and meduim flavors as well. Just depends on my mood. Right now I'm in the mood for a PAM 26 but will have to wait a few more hours.

I think this may be a big reason why Acids, Swisher and Cremosa do so well with beginners. If you can't taste something while smoking these, your palette is dead.

For NC's I've been on a real DPG black kick as of late. Just love the strength & flavour. I've tried other sticks that start of strong and just fade flavor-wise into nothing, but the black's are nice.

No sense in dancing around nicotine like it is the devil. Yeah sometimes I want some. Most of my cigars are mild but after a few drinks I like to have a strong cigar. Lately I have been doing good to have 1 a week so obviously I am not addicted so who cares? As hard as I work I have no problems with playing hard when I get a chance.

I agree with Andrew. It's not so much the buzz--the fuller-flavored cigars just tend to be more full-bodied (but not always--you can get a buzz of nearly any double corona). Of course, the buzz doesn't hurt lol.
