I didn't want to draw any fire,:gn, but yesterday I was smoking a JLP and thought it has a similar cocoa taste to a Gurkha G3.:mnTom, I can't believe you have failed to represent Gurkha.
JLPs are really good for the price IMHO.
Maybe a little more modern would convince the kiddies you're still young? Well, that and getting your bowels under control.

I like lots of modern rock...but the Motown/Philly sound still works for me too.

I used to ask this same question. (And got many of the same answers!)
After going through a lot of CCs (of many kinds) this year, and then trying to go back to NCs, I have found that CCs have a deeper, more defined flavor, and not difficult to pick out. In comparison, an NC's flavor is almost two-dimensional. I would also say that NCs tend to have a harshness to them that CCs don't.
