What's the difference?

I've been using Drymistat tubes in my humidor. Everyone seems to really like the Heartfelt beads. Other than the lower cost of the beads, do the beads have other advantages over the Drymistat tubes? Are they the same crystals in both? Do the beads control the rh better than Drymistat?

This feels like a dumb newbie question ... sorry.

That's enough for me.

Yep. Got right back to me.

I use a drymistat in my cooler, keeps it right around 68-69%, and I use one in my desktop humi with the stock humidifier filled with distilled and it keeps it around 67%. I personally like them because they were cheap (10$) and I was able to get them at my local shop because I cant order beads offline (broke college kid, parents wouldnt be to happy).

Understand the broke college kid ... parents will be mad thing. My daughter is a broke college kid ... and I'm a parent who would be mad. Btw, why aren't you hitting the books? Only two days till Monday and you probably have a paper due or a test or something ... :)

The Drymistat are NOT cheap compared to the beads. Viper needs to figure out a way to retail the beads ,,, but then they probably wouldn't be cheap. He is a "stand up guy." Answered my questions. Next buy will be beads.

Btw, hope the Cards and the Sox meet in 2006 ... Go Cards!

you think the drymistats are expensive? How much are beads? I thought they ran upwards of 20 bucks

20 bucks for a half pound which should humidify at least a 300 cigars humidor. A drymistat tube says it is good for up to 50, but recommended 25. 2 or 3 tubes is 20 bucks and still only gets you to 150 cigars max. Still, I have a drymistat tube in my otterbox which I got before I found heartfelt beads...

very good point but for someone like me who doesnt have a huge collection I think the drymistat is a pretty good deal. Beads do sound like a really good investment though.
