Going to Herfs around we really like staying at Bed And Breakfast in the local area that we are going. It's good to get a little of the local area
Here's one we stayed at in Ancaster ON. while attending the pig roast at Buzzmans, The Breakfast features home made syrup and pancakes with fresh malt bread and fruit.

Post your favorite B&B were always looking for some were to stay

all I can say my fave b&b is in newport rhode island. its a secret place..
ie; a former guest has to tip you off to it... the owner lets anything go & joins in stoagies, rum, brewski & serves up a mean surf & turf.....
anyway, B&B always beats a marriotor hilton if th owner is "cool"

I really liked one that I found near Albany, NY. The place was originally a mayors mansion (or a real estate guy, I forget). The owner is an awesome lady that really takes pride in the B&B, and her town.

When hotels were getting a bit too bland for me, I stayed in B&B's for a while. Some were bad (there was one where the only tv in the house, was in the main room-usually the owner was watching golf on it all day). Others were pretty nice. Honestly, after I stayed in one-I wanted to start my own.

Here's an interesting, cigar friendly place in Lewiston ID:

http://www.italiannainn.com/main.htm

Reminds me of Richard's place on the hill: commanding view, small but mature pinot vines surrounding the pool, that odd little Italian lady whipping up, like, *eleventy* courses for breakfast.

Mmmmmm... authentic frits, r-e-a-l Italian roast coffee that would make even Dan drool, served next to the pool after a lazy summer sunrise, and delicious Nics with more coffee, EXCELLENT!

I should go back there sometime. :tu

The best B&B I ever stayed at is close to one of the best B&Ms I ever smoked at.

It's the Casablanca in historic St Augustine and is right in front of where the horse and buggy drivers park.

It is also one of the stops on the ghost tour and is supposed to have a ghost that walks the roof with a lantern that dates back to the days of rum running into the harbor, telling the ships when it was safe to come in.

The Texas Toast at breakfast is yummy and I needed extra coffee after staying up all night looking for ghosts.

We usually stay at The Westcott House when we're in St Augustine. I'll have to look into The Casablanca. Thanks for the heads up.

I almost forgot about our favorite country inn/B&B outside Santa Barbara in the heart of SB's wine country...it's a small inn but more like a B&B.

The Ballard Inn - http://www.ballardinn.com/ - We go here annually & love it. Close enough to Santa Barbara for a visit, right outside the Danish town of Solvang and absolutely beautiful with lots to do in the surrounding areas.

I hate B&Bs and I will never stay in another one. Some of them are probably fine but most of them are ran by 3000 year old women who keep the heat on 900 degrees in the summer. The furniture is old and uncomfortable and you have to eat with people stupid enough to stay there themselves.

bad experience? Try the Casablanca I mentioned. The only old woman is the ghost with the lantern, but she never even showed up when I was there.

Quit beating around the bush and tell us how you really feel!:)
