Where do you get cigars from?

Just wondering if people here usually go out and buy cigars or if they get them over the internet. How do you know if a site is secure or not? I've only ordered one cigar online and it came after two days, but I've heard of people getting ripped off.

I picked them up from a few places online and also a few samplers from folks right here at CS. :tu

I pick up the majority online, mostly from Town & Country (Taboo) & Cigars Intl. A lot of my sticks came from the gorillas here.

I still go to the local B&M though. Almost always buy one to smoke there, then a couple more when I leave. I like that shop and there's only one way a place like that stays in bidness.

I haven't strayed to the darkside of online stores yet:SM but I know it's damn tempting.

Having been a staunch non-smoker all my life, I discovered earlier this year that there was 'just something about cigars that I liked'. So started smoking them semi-consistently (I try to stick with weekends). Since I don't smoke every day and since I'm pretty new at this, I like having the variety that singles provide. I haven't done a ton of online browsing (ok, maybe a little) and while I don't know a lot of the websites on that sticky and I'm not sure if they offer singles but I do know www.cigar.com offers them.

So I was pretty tempted. But the prices on the singles weren't THAT great. And I just like my local B&M too much. This thread does a pretty good job comparing online vs. your local shop: http://www.clubstogie.com/vb/showthread.php?t=181043.

I do think I get a pretty good deal at my B&M along with comradery, discounts, freebies, a nice place to smoke, etc. so for now I'm good with continuing to go there.

99% of the time it's online. My local B&M has a huge mark-up and it's not worth buying 2 from them when I can get 5 online. Plus, he buys a lot of his online during the sales and doubles the prices in his shop.

No local B&M's up here in rural Vermont and the drug store/convenience store smokes just don't cut it, so most all of my purchases are online.
