Which cigars would you age??

I'm new to the site and last week a friend gave me 25 year old CAO Churchill maduro and it was like a religious experience. It started me thinking about aging cigars but I'm not sure which ones would be good 20 years from now. I'd be interested in your thoughts and opinions.

Sorry bro, no such cigar.

They were into pipe baccy long before cigars, Mark.

Originally introduced in 1998 (CAO L.Anniversaire Maduro 1968-1998), the CAO Maduro quickly garnered nearly every accolade and award in the premium cigar industry, including being selected as the “Best Maduro Cigar of 1999.”

As for aging. Pick your favorite and let it sit.

Cohiba Esplendidos...I would buy about 10 boxes, they will be awesome in 25 years.

Yeah, I don't think he was fibbing. Merely reporting what was told to him.

Back to the question: It seems that the cigars that benefit the most are those "fuller bodied" versions. Time lets the flavors blend a bit; mellow. Lighter flavors are good to go right away.

Of course, I'll admit I'm not an expert on aging -- no will power.

i have my "top shelf" thats off limits..got 2 cao britailas that i dont plan on smoking till my first born child..and im 18 now

Found some answers for you Nate.

Was talking with the CAO rep at our shop today, and look at the smokes.

They are 10 years old, and the second run of the original release CAO maduros. It was the Douglas blend. It was a light wood box the back of the bands said Costa Rica I believe.

Any cigar worth smoking today is worth aging. If it is a dog rocket now time will not do much good! :2:ss
