Have been Famous Smoke Shop customer since 1970. When I moved from NM to WA in 1989, Arthur at Famous sent a box of Royal Jamaica Park Lanes as a house-warming gift. That, and their continued good service, makes this old Bart a Famous customer for life.
Prefer to do business with a USA family business, not a Euro conglomerate like CI.
I'd like to do business with Holt's but can't get them to lower themselves to send a slob like me a catalog. Guess we are too far away in WA state. Made 5 requests for a catalog. Not received one yet.

Started my internet shopping with ccom. Recently, however, it seems like they are always out of what I want. I just tried Fuller's Pullers, the jury is still out. I've buying more at my B&M.

I will definately have to check out some of the other sites I have heard here.

Checked out Taboo, doesn't seem like they have a large selection of brand name cigars.

I order from CI, Famous, Neptune and Finck's - depending on who has the best deals. I have ordered a number of times from Taboo, but mainly to get their Twists (a favorite of mine) and their Limited Reserve blends. If I want brand name cigars, I tend to buy from my B&M or the former list of big vendors. :tu

YMMV..... :D

I have ordered from Famous, CI, Serious Cigars, JR's, and Billboard. Famous has got most of my cash lately.

Let's not forget the Club Stogie WTS section, that will get my attention occasionally.

Hey everyone

I live in Australia and getting all cigars including cubans is no problem at all but everything is very very expensive. For example a box of CAO Brazilia ipanema here is $414.00 AUS dollars ($310.00 US) and from CI they are $90.00 US!!!!!

Is there any catch to this? Are the cigars from CI legit? Do they store them at proper humidity?

CI is very legit. One of the best known online retailers. I don't know if they ship to Australia though. If they did you may have to pay some sort of import tax/duty.

its the tax man that is making the smokes so expensive....kinda like here in Canada.....word of advice.....stop buying your cigars in Australia and order them online from the US....

That means I can get taxed really badly when they come through customs doesnt it?

It looks like cigars international and JR will not ship outside US

Does anyone know of US legit online cigar stores which ship international?

Great place to find decent prices on quality singles with FREE shipping.

(not affiliated - just a satisfied customer)

Thanks for the heads up, did not know about the free shipping. Will def have to order a few now :tu

I've had good experiences with both CI and Cigar.com. Both were fast and easy. I was impressed that cigar.com shipped the cigars with a humi-pillow in a zip-lock bag, very nice.

I personally order from JR. Which online retailer do you guys order your Stogies from? Just curious.

Pretty much exclusively taboo but I have ordered from Atlantic once before....both excellent shops.

I prefer CI, but there are two JR outlets within a short drive that I tend to visit on a regular basis. I am becoming bored with JR and have found other sites I like more. Cigars International and Taboo are among my favorite places to place an order. Value versus the quality of the product. (Always go with what you know best!) :tu

i like holt's. they have alot of higher quality cigars. they also have some good priced samplers. not too many value brands. but life is too short to smoke a cheap stogie.

Its considered bad etiquette for me to talk about duty on this forum, so I will give you a bit of advice....trust me. For your name brand smokes (other than fuente, padron, and la flor domincana) order from Atlantic Cigar. For those brands I just mentioned plus a great selection of quality "non brand name" smokes, use Taboo. I would recommend Taboo as the first choice however. Just rest assured you will get your cigars safely at a fraction of the cost of buying them in Australia.

I shop at Mike's Cigars, JR, New Havana, Silo, Leaf and Ale, Holt's, CI, Cigars.com, Serious Cigars, and some smaller retailers that have an on-line presence. Whoops, I almost left out Rob and Cupcake at Taboo.:chk

Australia x-rays all packages coming into the country. Doesn't matter what you try to do to disguise the package etc they will get ya for a couple hundred bucks. :2
