Who here smokes cigars while they drive

I just returned from a 340 mile drive home on Sunday. It was a 3 cigar :ss drive...would have been more but I ran out of sticks.

I don't smoke hardly at all in my car. I'll have a small cigar every now and then, but when I'm driving I can't enjoy the true character or essence of what cigar smoking is for me: a nice relaxing event.

I just can't loosen up when I'm driving to smoke, but then again I live in Jersey where every driver is crazy!!
I live in Jersey too, I have no problem driving down Route 9 smoking a cigar.

Hi, I just joined and have been a cigar smoker for about two years. I enjoy Rocky Patel 1990's, Bolivar, Macanudo Hyde Park, Padron, and Cohiba Black. With my fast paced life the only times that I have time to smoke these wonderful cigars is while I drive. What is nice is that my car comes with a huge ash tray with large lighter that pulls out from under the climate control, and two more ashtrays in the rear doors. Before I get out on the road I take my cutter out of my side compartment, than I push in the lighter and wait till that beauty pops out. I use it to light my Cigar, and than I roll down the window halfway and drive off puffing my Cigar. The longest cigar I have ever had lasted from my house in Central Jersey to Allentown, PA. I would like to know if any of you smoke and drive?

Funny you mention this. I go to see my girlfriend in Reading PA at school, and on the way home I always bring a cigar or two. Usually light up on 78 near Allentown. Lasts me through 287 into Jersey up until the Tapan Zee.

On a rare occasion, I will smoke in my SUV. After I do, I end up "airing it out" a while and maybe even a shot of Febreeze to improve the smell. :tu
My wife really can't handle the smell in the car... but has significantly relaxed about my smoking a couple cigars at night on the porch. :ss

On that trip I was on my way to Pottsville for a New Years party.

I can't stand smoking in cars. I really like the open air for times when I light one up. Besides, I treasure my car too much to want to do that to it. I would kill myself before doing that. Just my opinion tho. I think some of you all could agree to that.
I know sanitariumite holds the same opinion. Although, if I had a beater for the day, then hell yeah!!!

I do it every now and then but only when my wife is NOT in my suv and I have all the windows open. I also live in Central Jersey, drive down to the beach house often and have have no problem with the crazies.

Nice thread by the way..

I used to get all my smoking in while commuting 2.5 hours round trip to work....at one time I was smoking at least 2...and sometimes 3 cigars a day....weekdays anyway...weekends I actually slowed down... :ss

Yes,- If you drive in the fine state of Michigan you can get really good at using the Orange barrels every 5 feet as ashtrays:ss

The car is where I do most of my smoking. With the temperature dropping in the evening, I'll sit in the car and have a smoke. As it's an old beater, there's not much I can do to it at this point to hurt the resale value. My smoke is more expensive than the car. But the heater and the radio works and I relax enjoy. I envy the folks in the southern states in the winter, but I'm thankful for summers here in Minnesota. :)
