Winston Churchill by Davidoff

Just wondering if anyone out there has had the opportunity to try one of the new Winston Churchill cigars that were recently released by Davidoff. I've had 3 of them so far and have been thouroughly impressed. In fact I would go so far as to say it's one of the two best cigars I've had since I started smoking 6 years ago.

Just a little info on it... It was comissioned by Churchill's grandson and Davidoff did the blend and the roll in their Dominican factory. There's 4 sizes, a robusto, corona, toro and of course, a churchill. It's a fairly mild cigar, much like the Davidoff Diademas Finas 100th Anniversary blend yet with a hint of the spice that the Davidoff Millennium has. It has a very floral smelling smoke and to me seems like a mixture between the Diadema and the Millennium put together. Such a great cigar from start to finish I had to see what other people thought if anyone has had the opportunity to enjoy one.

Any thoughts?

Your B&M will unfortunately require a white label Davidoff account just to see the Winston Churchills. It's sad to me that Davidoff is so picky about who they dole those out to. You might have to go online to find them, and don't be suprised to pay a premium for them.

I wasn't quite as impressed with these... they may develop into something great with some age on them, but at least my initial tastings have determined for me that I enjoy the Millennium Blend significantly more.

Have not had one yet but am heading up to the B & M and I will pck up one to try, sounds like I might like it,thanks for the imput

My B&M had them but I didnt know they came in other sizes. I thought it was only a churhill. What is the price on these bad boys

I enjoy the occasional Davidoff, so I will have to keep an eye open to try one of these smokes.

Woogie

A B&M in KC is having a Davidoff event (20% off boxes only) tomorrow .... was thinking about getting a box of No. 1's .... wonder if they will have these there as well.

If your B&M has Millennium Blend then they should have a white label account with Davidoff. If they do then they have to carry the Winston Churchills. Where I'm at they run anywhere from $13.50 up to $22 for the big ones.

The problem I would see with aging these cigars is that they would lose a lot of that nice spice that keeps them from falling in line with the typical Davidoff milder cigars. It's just a hint of spice that grows in the last 2 1/2 inches of the stick. I just got finished smoking another and the burn is perfect. Just a beautifully made cigar. Definitely worth the money in my opinion.

For those of you in the DC area, I know Old Virginia Tobacco Company has them. They had an ample selection at the Kingstowne shop last weekend -- I think they started at $15 per and went up from there. I passed, but the owner gave them very nice reviews and he's a Davidoff afficionado.

Ill be getting these next Thursday for a good discount. If there are extras, Ill pick them up and reply.

which place might that be?

Diebel's ... both stores. When I called, the guy told me that it was 25% off of boxes & packs .. not 20% like I thought. I was gunna have them put a box of No. 1's back for me, but they didn't have a full box at either location, so they put back a partial box of 10 sticks & are to give me the discount. I'll be heading to the Plaza location to pick them up & look for the "Winston Churchills" after work today.

Same thing I heard from my B&M owner... :ss

We'll find out. ... Just picked up the one to try (corona)
