Wood glue in humidor?

I have a piece of my humidor lid, the part that extends down and helps with the seal (hope that makes sense) that is loose. Can I use wood glue to help it stick to where it should be and if not is there another glue that would work better?

Elmer's wood glue will be the least offensive choice.

Scrool down to members photos at bottom, look under my name in my humis.

Just remember to leave the lid open for a few days to make sure it's dry and no more odors eminate. Then reseason and you're good to go. :tu

Thanks guys. Now I need to find something to grip the pieces together.......my tools are a little on the light side.

Depending on the size of the pieces you might just use tape to hold them in place while the glue dries. Posting some pics might help get a better idea of the situation, there's plenty of woodworkers here on CS that could help. :ss

Binder clips work good for small pieces.
