Xikar Executive?

I am looking into getting a nice lighter(currently using sulfer free matches) and like the way the executive is designed with the ignition on the side. I was wondering if anyone has one of these lighters or has any experience with them, good or bad just looking for a few opinions before I drop the green :D

i have one. it is an excellent lighter. a full tank of fuel will last a long time and i have never had any problems with it not lighting. one thing i can suggest, and this goes for every lighter. when you go to refill it make sure you press the little pin down first to get rid of any extra gas that still might be in the tank. this will cause air bubbles. other than that it is a great lighter and reasonably priced

one more addition, colibri also makes a nice thrpple jet lighter

I ordered 1 on Sunday from www.cigarmony.com (paid just under $20) and it arrived today. I have yet to fill it but it appears to be a good quality lighter. Hopefully I will put it to use in the next day or so and be able to give you my first impression. I will say that I was very pleased with my purchase from Cigarmony and will be ordering from him again very soon. Hope this helps a little.

Take care.

I have one and in fact I have felt that the tank is too small to get more than a few lights out of, and the thing rarely lights right away. I still use it, but have a PB-207 on order from the group buy and hope it is better.

Thanks for the kudos bro, I try!

The Xikar Executive appears to be the exact same as the Tiger lighter but it is backed by the Xikar warranty which is worth its weight in gold when it comes to lighters.

Just make sure to use a good quality butane (minimum triple refined) in ANY lighter that you get. The #1 cause of faulty lighters is "dirty" fuel.

Hope this helps.

I have one... It works much better than any Colibri but it has not been as reliable as my Ronson... but it is much better looking!

I like the excaliber because it is a single action(no flip cap) with a covered nozzle. It also looks perdy and for the price you can't really beat it seems. A low fuel capacity would kind of suck. Although it could be dealt with, is there another ligter similar that has a larger fuel capacity?

Well I fired the thing up today and it worked great I used it with the fuel that I also purchased from Cigarmony. It was easy to fill and use. The cigar was not great (a Gispert I received at a friends wedding) but the lighter is nice and came with a nice little leather pouch. Go for it.... like I said I paid just under $20.00 for it. You can't go wrong.

Glad you dig it bro!

I have one. I think it's an okey all-round torch that has good price/performance-ratio. It doesn't scream "I'm expensive!" but then again why should it, right. I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for their first torch or who don't want to pay +100 dollars for their torch. Plus, it's really ergonomic in my opinion. However, there are negative points:

- If you don't keep it in that pouch that comes with it Exucutive scratches easily. If you have the black version than the scratches are like silver lines and really visible.
- The gas release pin is not high quality. When you push it with a stick or something (I use a mini-screwdriver) the rubbery pin gets marked and most of the time doesn't come back up properly. I think the pin in Executive is a clear sign of this lighter not being the highest quality.
- The tank isn't that big apparently since the butane seems to ran out within three to four times of cigar lighting.

This being said, I think it's one of the best options in the 20-50 dollar range although you might want to check out Xikars two new models.

While the Excutive has been decent to me I'm probably going to buy a better lighter soon. Maybe S.T. Dupont Xtend or PD5/PD6.
