Brooks Was Here
Hi all! I picked up these cigar scissors about a week ago and so far I absolutely love them. From the first time I laid eyes on these cigar scissors, I knew that I had to have a pair. Money has been a little tight and I already had a $2 double guillotine that seemed to cut cigars just fine. Now, it is birthday time for me and I found a brother on here selling his Xikar executive and MTX gift set. My wonderful girlfriend asked me if I wanted it and I said... YES!!!! So she got it for me as an early birthday present. Well, they came in and the scissors just didn't cut cigars worth a darn. I was getting major wrapper cracking and horribly uneven cuts on every cigar. I was really not liking my new toy. Then I picked up some philly blunts from the corner store and gave them the mangling they deserved. I cut on about 5 of those things trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Then one night I was sleeping in my chair (I'm a lazy mofo when I get in my chair) and it came to me in my sleep. The whole time I have been trying to use the scissors like a guillotine cutter. I was placing the cigar in the center and just smashing it with the blades. Anyway, back to the epiphany. I was snoozing away and realized that they are called cigar scissors for a reason. I should cut the cigar like I was using scissors (I know this was duh, but my mind doesn't always work right, I don't know why). I immediately got up and got my scissors and a blunt and tried it out. Wow! It was like night and day. These things cut so sharp and even it just blew me away. I really love my scissors and think my palio will be very jealous from now on. They are light, compact and easy to carry around. They also cut amazingly well. I am so glad I like these scissors. When I started reading about them I noticed a lot of people didn't have much good to say about them, but you can rest assured that I love mine and they cut very well. All it takes is some patients and a little practice. Once you get the hang of them, I think you will really enjoy your Xikar MTX Multi-Tool. I know I do. :ss
