Guys, obsess over your choice of cigars not the metallurgical properties of your cant'-be-beat cutter. You are not performing circumcisions and there is no threat of a lawsuit if you take too much off. Plus, where do you find the time - photos, hand measurements, testimonials...

Having said that, I can't come down too hard on you.... when I first started smoking premium cigars (more years ago than I'd care to remember), I too contemplated hiring an engineering consulting firm to do an exhaustive comparison study of the cutting quality (after all, how could I sleep at night knowing that I might have bought the wrong model!) of 250 known brand cutters. Now I just want to sit back and smoke my darn cigars. Which is what many of you should be doing. :ss

For me, the only one that hasn't come close to severing a finger is my Xikar. It has served me well. The rest of my collection is for show.

The whole cigar thing is a hobby for some of us. I am sure you obsess over some things that I would not even spend a second with. That’s what makes us different. Your input is welcome but would be nice if it was a little more constructive then critical.

BTW this is a cigar forum. I think it would be much less of a forum is every post stated "I just sat back and smoked by darn cigar"

Anyway, have a smoke and be happy! :)

to help pull my head out - but, having met me no one cares enough...

For me, the only one that comes close is my finger. It has served me well.

Awesome review! I have a Xikar now and have tried the Palio. It's very tough not to pull the trigger. Just need to decide on the burlwood or black.

Every board has its "flavor", its own culture. You're the one who decides if you feel at home there or not . . . sometimes you can find out very quickly.
 
This what a very nice accessory comparison review.
CA21455, you were very creative using actual size pictures with the products. It was a very nice touch.

I've only used Palio and Xikar cutters and the majority of my cigars have ended up being cut by the Palios.

Also, the very generous ClubStogie member - Jechelman offered to send me a Havana cutter.
I hope he leaves a return address.
