Just recently had my first one - a Java. Not sure what I think. I might give it another try, but there are so many ohter cigars I truly like that it will be difficult for me to part with the $$ on something that (based on my first experience) isn't that good.

Thursday I stopped at one of my local B&Ms and stocked up . . . one of my choices was a stick had never come across before. a Drew Estates Java Maduro. It had two bands: one it the traditional position and the second at the foot. Have any of you gorillas come across this cigar? Anyway. ...

As far as I can tell, It depends on the palate. Once someone get a taste of a certain cigar with a little age, the palate get "spoiled" and then prefers the aged taste vs the "straight from the box" taste. I tend to be like you, I like my favorite cigars whenever - though those that have age...

I concur with Volt Both a real good smoke and a fav in my Humies. . . The RP sungrown is another nice addition - and for my money anything Sancho panza. . . but that's just me.
