UPS isn't as cost effective for smaller packages as USPS. I've found that the break even is generally around 6lbs but that depends on how far you have to ship it because with UPS, the longer the distance, the more it costs. UPS ground also takes about 5 days to cross the country whereas USPS...

FedEx is horrible, where do I begin? First off, most if not all of the delivery people are contractors, not regular FedEx employees so they do as they damn well please. I know so many people who have had trouble (myself included) with the lousy delivery people that I avoid those losers at all...

I've been using beads for quite a few years now. I don't bother with fancy hygros, I just use cheap analog ones because with beads, they never move unless I need to add water.
