    More Comedy

What's wrong with spending money on something you like? I don't own that particular ashtray, but do have one that cost me more than that. I like it. It makes me happy to ash my Jose L. Piedras in it. Why would people buy a painting for $5,000 when one from Garden Ridge only costs $9.99...

How many do you smoke a day?

Wow, this is an old thread. Most days: 1-2. Good days: 3-4. Small herfs/Vacations: 5-9. SoCal: 10+

A favor for a friend in Galveston after Ike.....

I was going to go through and delete all the offending remarks in this thread but seeing as how they've all been quoted multiple times, there's not much point and I just don't have the time. Publicly discussing ring gauge is frowned up here and those posting about it have been on here long...

What do you drink your whisk(e)y in?

Neat in a double old fashioned. I love the look, feel, and heft of my old-style Wateford Lismore double old fashioneds. But I may have to get some of those tasting glasses to try.

    Removing Cigar Breath Smell

I pay a lot of money for that breath/taste in my mouth, no way do I want to get rid of it. No one ever complains, but maybe that's because it's masked by the scotch. :)

    Copper lined humidor question

Copper humidors were extremely popular back in the day. I have a great antique one built into an endtable that was my grandfather's. I keep cutters, lighers, and other accessories in it. The issue isn't one of cedar--you really don't need that for a humidor--but rather an issue of how well it...

Do you smoke in your car?

Cigar is usually in my left hand, so that never bothered me. I smoke in the car all the time. I prefer to do it with the top down so there's no issue of lingering odor. If that's not an option, then a cracked window, the ac, and a dryer sheet will do the trick.

What is the longest time you went unwillingly without a cigar

Unwillingly? 10 hours in a plane.

    spent cigars

If I'm at home or in a bar, I leave them in the ashtray until someone comes by to clean up after me. If I happen to be outside (golfing, driving, back porch), they usually just get tossed wherever.

Article/blog: do wine and cigars mix?

They damn sure do. And very well, I think.

how do u make your drink

Usually, it's just something neat for me. But I have been drinking quite a few of these over the summer (especially on the golf course): Vodka (a bunch) Juice of one lime and one lemon A little sprite and top off with club soda (over a tall glass full of ice) Salt the rim if you like that sort...

Las Vegas trip - Casa Fuente, Napoleon's, etc.

Sounds like a good trip, Mikey. Glad you liked Napleon's. I forgot about the dueling piano thing. I'll be there in two days. Can't wait! I love Vegas :D

Why does Rockey Patel have a bad rap?

They all taste like dirt to me (and not in a good way). :r Good one!

    '98 Chateau Margaux

I'd have fun if I actually owned any. Just had the opportunity to taste the '00.

    Think ya could fool 'em?

The only non-Cuban cigar I've had that could have been mistaken for a Cuban was a Camacho, when the line was first introduced. I had one from one of their very first batches and it was a very good, young Cuban-tasting cigar. Honorable mention would have to go to the Tatuaje Noella, which have...

Vodka, Rum, and a Port - Oh my! (or what I bought at the store today)

Don't be messing with Texas, poon! I think Tito's is great--for the price. I've never had a vodka in that price range that's better than Tito's. There are vodkas I prefer, but they're all more expensive. And, for me at least, Tito's is fine mixed or in a martini.

    '98 Chateau Margaux

Nah, I'm just a drunk. :al There are a few experts on here, but I'm not one of them. I know what I like, though :)

    Strongest cigar you've ever smoked

Way to resurrect a dead thread with a random comic, Julian :D Guess I'll add the strongest cigar I've smoked now. It was a '95 Juan Lopez #2. I had no idea this thing was going to be a powerhouse. Smoked it at the SHIT herf SoCal edition a couple of weeks ago. Passed it around once, everyone...
