angle cutting cigars...

So I sat down to smoke a sancho panza dm and accidentally cut the tip on an angle. I was pissed at first for messing up the cap, but now that I'm smoking it, I'm realizing that the stick tastes better than normal. There seems to be more flavor. Anyone else experience this?

I usually cut torps at an angle to get more surface area out of the cut. Don't know if it really makes a difference but works for me. :p

I usually end up cutting them at angles since I have absolutely no Depth Perception.... Never yet had a problem , wouldn't know what to do if I cut one straight :ss

You will have better luck with the SP's if you use a punch. They are notorious for having cap problems. I also use an angle cut on most torps or beli's.:2

I've noticed that. Most of the time, the cap just comes off no matter how careful I am. I guess I'll have to invest in a punch.

Just get one of the cheap rubber Vector ones from the B&M, unless you are looking for something more blingy! The cheap ones are ok cause you dont use them often. :2

FWIT, I read somewhere that cutting on the bias directs more smoke to the pallet.
I have never tried it so I can't comment on it.

Once I cut a cigar crooked and smoked it anyway then next thing I knew I woke with a girl who looked like Carlos Fuente, but with a bigger moustache.:ss

I tried the angle cut tonight on a couple of cigars. Interesting, even though I cut through the cap it didn't fall off while smoking. I suppose it probably helped draw due to the increased surface area, but it wasn't really a day and night difference.

My opinion is that if I cut a cigar straight, I'll smoke it. If I cut it at an angle, I'll smoke it too.
