Can't tell from the pics but the one of the bottom almost looks like someone varnished the inside of it.

I asked the guy, it is varnished.

Problem is, those petrol/alcohol residual fumes are going to permeate the upper compartment no matter what - unless you install a vapor barrier. Even then, it's not 100% foolproof.

I thought about it until he told me that, despite what it would have cost to ship. But now, no way.

I ended up letting it go at $100.

knew it probably wouldn't be good for humidor but
thought it would make a good display cabinet.

Got busy and couldn't up my bid. Probably for the
best as I have no room or time to play with it if I had won.

Thanks for noticing and checking about the varnished cabinet.
I wouldn't have thought of that and would have been pissed
when I got it.
