Cao?

Get him good and drunk and get him to give you some really expensive cigars. You may have to just let him think he's right about "ciao," just to get those 'gars.

I always thought it was See- Ay- Oh. However, everytime I read it I always have a quick thought that says it as a word. Like Cow. Kao. Something like that. How other languages pronounce chaos (k-oss), like kah-ohs.

Ok. I'm confusing myself now. Not that it's hard... ;)

I love CAO's but i've pronounced it Kay-o. I don't know if it's right or not but who cares. I still know how to smoke em.

LMAO No you have not been pronouncing it incorrectly, as CAO are the initials of the father and founder of the company Cano A. (Aret) Ozgener

And, BTW, Cano is pronounced 'Johnno.'

Is this an edumacating forum or what!

:r

At the two CAO events I've attended, the rep. pronounced it See Ay Oh. I suppose he should know......afterall, they're signing his check!

On another note, the cigar brand I hear mis-pronounced most frequently when I talk to people is Partagas.

Now you have me wondering.... What is the proper pronunciation of Partagas?

Par - tuh - gus (with the emphasis on Par)

or

Par - tay - gus (with the emphasis on tay)

I've been pronouncing Par - tuh - gus. Or am I a bonehead and there is another way all together??

I do pronounce C - A - O as the initials of Mr. Ozgener.
