Been keeping an inventory since starting. Tried some of the software available but settled on just using a spreadsheet.

Keep track of date purchased, vendor, price number purchased and remaining. Also track the location in the humi which helps since there are eight drawers.

Would like to reach the 1K mark one of these days. Been hovering in the 800's for awhile now.

A lot easier to inventory when you start buying boxes versus 20 individual variety of sticks:tu

That or I am getting to old to remember.

I use a spreadsheet too. I'm thinking about moving it into Access. I have a cooler, and I keep singles in empty boxes, so I track what's in the boxes.

The first time I buy a gar, I put the band in a card file with the basic info. I make additional notes if there is anything to add later.I also keep only a small inventory. Under 50 gars.

It'd be a good idea, but that would accomplish 3 things I don't need...

#1 - A record of how much money I've spent.

#2 - A record of what I DON'T have...

#3 - Evidence that my wife could use against me at a later date...

...but it's still a good idea. ;)

I used to keep an inventory but I had a lot of cigars coming and going and it got to be inaccurate. I haven't had the chance to re-inventory everything yet but maybe someday in the future I will.

I keep a humi inventory, when one's full, move to the next. I'll see how it works out for coolers soon:tu

I tried keeping track, but with so much stuff moving in and out. It was inaccurate within a couple of weeks. :hn

I also use Cigar Register, mainly because I have "sometimers" and can't remember :BS. It lets me keep track of how long my stix have been in the humi so I have an idea of when they are smokable and where I got the ones I end up liking.

I started keeping track of my cigars and a 1-10 rating on them. I have each one listed severla times incase I have a bad smoke, then it redeems itself later. We'll see how it works.
