i don't lie- i'm the only source of income in our household. and even if i weren't the only source, i made a great choice and married a saint. that way i'm comfortable being an port of no entry and she balances me.
 
telling the truth about habits can be dangerous. I just never seem to hear when she poses the question.

"Whats that dear...you want to spend money on travel??"" ignoring the cigar question at the same time!

Without meaning to sound like a complete pig, I earn the money, within limits I will buy what I damn well please; of course my wife is pretty supportive and nonjudgemental of my cigar habit and I have not turned into a raving lunatic about them ...yet! Frank B

LOL, I just got around to reading all these post, I think most of us appears to be in the same boat. As for me I just say to my wife what she ALWAYS says to me, NEW? nah I have had this is the closet for MONTHS, I just never wear it !!
 
Of course i lie to my wife I mean we are talking about women right? Lifesuport for nips and lips, Mother's of our children, Beasts of kitchen burdens. I mean if we always told them the truth they would still think we weren't half of the time. Oh and i also have a great Prenup inforce :r

i haven't lied.... YET. but i'm hoping to go into a box split with a buddy and i'll just give him the money when i get home, that way it won't show up on our account.

which i think is a royal crock o' stuff. all the damn "longaberger baskets", scrapbook crap, and mary kay make-up... i DESERVER to have good cigars... especially when i offset them with cheapo sticks like "connies".

Hi all, Pyro, nice to see yalll being so honest! I am a wife, and dont mind the expense if it keeps the biggest kid happy. Although with his energy I do wish they made them with sedatives!! I too am a cigar smoker, although I do not buy the assundered items the other wives do with their hubbys money, as I am low maintenance, self supporting, you guys deserve the same amount of spending too! I am a 50/50 gal, and whats good for the goose is good for the gander!! If it causes problems then compromise on a certain amount to keep the peace. A cigar is nice on a long cold winters night, but having your wife's nice warm body around for the long haul is much more advantageous.:p
