Drew Estate JAVA

I have tried the wafe version and it was almost tollerable. I was told it was a flavored maduro. As a huge maduro fan, I tried it. At first I was like... "not bad", after 5 minutes it was out the window. I get to keep the man card!

Over a year ago someone gave me two of Wafe's - and at that time I had them with coffee and didn't think they were to bad - which is the reason I bought this box last year.

I had actually never smoked one though until now. I have been using them to hand out give away.

Java's ARE a joint venture between Drew Estates and RP. I wouldn'y buy box, but wouldn't toss a gift one away, as there is a time and place for everything smokeable.

So Ron hated the Javas, but I like them for their flavor. Since I am still a newbie, I like mild-medium body cigars and flavor cigars (for the time being). I'm sure my profile and palette will change in the coming years.

Since Ron didn't want any of the Javas we decided to make a trade.

I was completely flabbergasted by Ron's great generosity...Not only did he send the Javas, but he also sent some heavy :bx

I got :mn bad.

Ron I'm glad your recovering well from your surgery. I thought you would've taken it easier on me since you are still recuperating, but I guess your feeling much better.

I imagine a mischievous smile and grin across your face when wrote this note.

Please help me ADD RG+ for Ron for being an outstanding BOTL (CS won't allow me to give you anymore RG!). Get well soon bro =)

p.s. Your a great carpenter. Excellent work on your humidor project.

Oh how I wish I had seen this thread before!!!

I bought one of these a few days ago at the B&M, not knowing it was a flavored cigar. It was a beautiful cigar from a company that I had heard of, and in my haste of buying a bunch of cigars, I threw it in.

Let me tell you: WORST CIGAR EVER!

This is worse than every crap $1 cigar ever made. It tasted like moldy cocoa puffs, and just the taste of the wrapper on my lips was almost enough to make me gag. I got about 8 puffs (1/4") and forcefully put it out.

Awful.

Just Awful!

Gross.

Awful.

I find that most of drew estates cigars have wonderful flavors and tastes, but the tobacco in them is terrible!! its like putting cologne on instead of taking a shower... you can only fool people for so long...

It is amazing how well these things do sell...now they have a natural out that they call the Latte Java....I don't mind the original maduro java every now and again...but the latte natural java was absolutel AWFUL...

Great review :r. As there was only 5 out of 29 persons that gave positive accounts for the stick and at least 2 were by the same person (therefore 4/28) I have a feeling that I won't be purchasing these- even for friends that don't regularly smoke cigars.
Thanks for the heads up all- as a coffee enthusiast I could have been easily roped into a 1 time buy.

It's a pity so few people like these. I absolutely love them, especially with a well made White Russian.

The original maduro is by far the best of the series. I give mine anywhere from 2 months to a year in the humidor though...They tend to be rather dry when I get them, and don't smoke very cleanly.
