Favorite place to enjoy a smoke?

It has got to be in the boat fishing. When the fishing is slow. A good smoke while the fish are biting furiously means you don't really get to enjoy it.

I might say, the other place I enjoy a cigar the most is not so much a place as it is the people. When I am with friends who also enjoy a cigar with me, any place is a great place to enjoy a smoke. Oftentimes, it's in a boat... :ss

I agree. I fish quite often from spring until fall and go through my fair share of smokes in the boat. I recently switched primarily to pipes--I had lost two fish--either cats or striper--by dropping ash on the line. After it happened the first time, I thought to myself "like a lightning strike, at least it won't happen again" and a month or two later it did. Since then, I have lost two corn cob pipes but reeled the fish in, definitely worth the 4 bucks.

I am usually under the covered front porch, in the back yard by the pool, or in the garage if it is cold or if I am roasting coffee...

Favorite place is in the Pool but that's only an option in the summer. The main place is my sun room where I have TV, Computer, and humi.

My favorite place is wherever I can get the time to sit and enjy a good cigar whether it's on the covered front porch , the back yard , a friends house or Mahogany on Walnut St. in Philadelphia . Used to be able to smoke at work and get away with it but they are really cracking down on it now .

1. On the deck (summer)
2. In the garage (spring, fall)
3. In the hot tub (winter)

And when the fetching Mrs. Brew is there, it's even better!:chk

I am stuck outside on the deck, don't get me wrong it is nice (in the summer). But I would love to be inside on a nice club chair with a nice glass of vino. Maybe in the next house a cigar room will be built.

I fish mostly from shore but still agree. I generally throw lures for bass till my back/feet/something gets tired... Then I'll set up some bait on a "heave it and leave it" rig, stick the rod in a holder, and fire up a cigar.

Same applies for surf fishing, but then it would be for perch & striper.

The problem I usually have is with wind causing funky burn on my stick, or it burns down too fast.

The times I do smoke when actively cast/retrieve fishing, I tend to hold the cigar in my mouth while I cast, take a couple puffs while my lure sinks, then hold it in my cranking hand while I retrieve the lure. If I get a big fish on the line I have to try and remember to transfer the stick to my mouth or set it down for the fight. I have dropped my stick in the drink before when setting the hook, so I tend to smoke cheaper cigars when I'm fishing.
