My vinotemp is all set up and has been holding at 65/65 for a little while now, so I figured it was time to start filling it!
Just got home recently from the local B&M where we were watching bits of NCAA football games inbetween games of Wii Bowling and Golf! When leaving I stepped back into the humidor and the owners son (who also helps run the shop) had set up some sampler packs so I picked up a couple, so without further ado, here are the first colonists of my vinotemp:
(Apologies for the iPhone picture, I couldn't get it in any position that the labels wouldnt reflect, and having the plastic wrappers on made it even worse. Also, I'm naming them to the best of my ability honestly (re: sorta going only by what's listed on the label, so if you are able to identify and correct me then by all means, I take no offense
)
Set 1:
Onyx(?)
Juan Lopez(?)
Canon Cubano
Perdomo Lot 23
A. Fuente Gran Reserva
Set 2:
Cao Italia
A Fuente Gran Reserva
Punch Gran Puro
Padron 1926 Serie
Romeo y Julieta Maduro Reserve
So overall it was a good day. I am too concerned about losing out on 'worth' for these sampler packs if there was any, I was just looking for a variety of types that I can try for the next while to figure out what I like and what I do not Although, the owner commented that the Padron 1926 Serie was quite special, so couldn't help but smile about that!
