Your welcome! Enjoy your new Palio!

Pailo, can't go wrong.....clean cut EVERY time. Had mine almost a year and I smoke on average 2-3 cigars a day - and it cuts as good as the day I bought it.

I have 3 Xikars and I love them. I tried a Palio and just didn't dig it.
The reason I like the Xikar is because of the shape, it's uniqueness, and the cool factor.
It's different than all the other guillotine and slide cutters and I like that.
My Xi3 Spectra is just about the coolest cigar toy I own. Coupled with my RP 5-torch lighter, I think I'm the most stylin' cigar dood that ever existed. :r

Someday when I'm rich, I'm going to have a Xikar Xi3 Mammoth Cutter.
Then, without a doubt, I will own the absolute coolest cigar accessory on the planet. :tu

For superior quality and precision, Palio is the hands down winner.

But...

I got a Xikar over a year ago. $40 cutter for $28 on CBid. The day I got it in the mail, I managed to drop it from chest height and shatter the thing. No problems, said Xikar! Upon returning the pieces of the original cutter, I had a brand new one in my hands less than a week later. Just exceptional customer service, I must say. You can't go wrong with Palio or Xikar.

If nothing else, I prefer my Xikar to a Palio for its design--I love that teardrop look and cutting mechanism. I get looks and questions all the time from people who aren't familiar with them.

I also had a couple of xikars before I bought a palio, and one of the xikars had the internal spring break. It was a silver one with the composite body. I sent it back to xikar with a note saying I wish I had bought one with the metal frame because hopefully it would be stronger than the one I had. Couple weeks went by and they sent me a brand new one with the METAL frame. So my experienxe with their customer service has been great.

Well, just ordered my Palio from AtlanticCigar.com. :D I ordered the Carbon fiber finish. I originally wanted the Burl wood finish but they're out of stock. I would've ordered from elsewhere but Atlantic has some nice freebies they throw in. With the cutter they throw in a free 5 pack of cigars - don't know which but hey, what the heck it's free! After looking at it for awhile I kinda think it looks pretty nice so I went for it. Also picked up 2 Oliva cigars since they come so highly rated. Just had to try them :ss

I have two cutters currently. One is the guillotine type and the other is the typical dual curved blade type. Both are cheapo under $15 types. I've noticed I'd like a quicker cleaner cut than the cheapo $15 curved blade is giving me and am actually thinking the guillotine might be doing a better cut. When I think about it technically it seems the guillotine is a smarter cut being the blades aren't shaped like the cigar so it comes in cutting from the outside inwards whereas the dual curved blades kinda just bluntly just force their blades through. I dunno... that's just how I see it technically.

Anyhow, all that aside I'm looking for recommendations on what cutter to buy - from all your experience. Price doesn't really matter so long as it's under $100. I'd like comments that are based on at least a few months experience with said cutter :) Thanks in advance!

The Palio or the Xicar are both definitely the best in that price range. But if you want to know what the best cutter on the market is? Its probably an Eloi or an Elie Bleu. I personally have an Elie Bleu guillotine and the Elie Bleu scissors and they both are phenomenal but are a bit on the pricey side.
