Mixed feelings: Taboo

Dangit, that seals it, I'm ordering my first Taboos right now! If the product is even a fraction as good as the customer service, it must be a phenominal smoke.

Let me just put out there that Rob at taboo is great-

he respnded to my pms in minutes flat and has been nothing if not helpful.

Big kudos to Taboo - I understand that not every cigar is perfect and weird circumstances can crop up - what really defines the quality of a brand is how they handle these kind of issues.

Rob has definitely shown that Taboo is this kind of quality brand and is willing to take care of its customers.
While my cigar budget is tiny compared to most around here, I just want to let you know that once this all wraps up, I am going to be placing a big (for me) order from you!

Thanks again Rob

First let me start by saying this, all of the Taboo cigars that have mad it's way over here to the land of dust and dust (Afghanistan) have faired well during the shipping, after a couple of days to weeks in our cooler they faired even better. All of them went up in smoke just beautifully, and were some of the better smokes that we've had over here. The one in particular that comes to mind is the "Candy Cane" wrapper, torpedo (not sure of the name and can only guess on the size (maybe a 6x58 don't quote me)). It was by one of the best cigars that I have smoked, and definetly in the top 5 since I've been over here. The draw was superb, the burn was fantastic (even all around) and the taste/flavoring was exceptional. It made me a true fan of Taboo, I will definetly smoke more of them when I get home. The only drawback to this smoke was that the Troop Supporters sent 3, I got one, a buddy of mine got one, and I promised him the 3rd when he gets back from his mission, provided it does'nt go AWOL on him. They are absolutely a wonderful smoke, I have to believe that the experiences you have had are just a fluke and nothing more.

Smoked a Twist last night watching the Brewers and Cubs, Just like my first one it was heaven :ss

I just put fire to my fist twist, draw is PERFECT! smoke is slightly sweet with a hint of spice. No evidence of the burn issue in the first 1/4 inch. :ss

I appreciate your service. PM me how much longer you are going to be
in Afghanistan.
Thanks

It looks like we have enough folks here to have a Taboo Contest!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Maybe later in the week?:tu

I just finished a Twist Churchill. Perfection.
I am now smoking the Torp. Just lit, I'll report back. Ok, so far.

Thanks CS
Rob

The Torp I just finished seemed to be fine. I am going to light up another one. Thanks for the support and the feedback CS!

Can you quit bragging? Some of us work 10 hour days in silent, dim, miserable offices...simply gazing at pictures of cigars in longing...

Past mid way.....needed a bit of a touch up, flavor is medium/full, and quite pleasant, aroma...FANTASTIC!

EDIT:

All done..... I need to get more!

I have experienced this in some of the robustos Ive fired up and also one torp....Its got to be cause of the 2 different wrappers....

If you touch them up just a bit and they let them burn a bit they will work themselves out...:tu
