Mood, Emotions, and Cigars...

So I was thinking the other day, would mood or emotional state have any major effect on how one enjoys cigars?

Saturday, my Fraternity at College accepted 16 new brothers into the organization. Since i was the Recruitment Chair, the previous week had been very stressful, and I was on top of the world.

Sitting around the campfire with my new brothers, i smoked an Opus X Fuente Fuente Robusto.

This was quite possibly the best smoking experience I've ever had. The Nicotine, relaxing time, and Perrier was incredible!!!

Question is, was this one of the best experiences because of:

a) Opus X really is that good.
b) This was a great time of fellowship with my new brothers.
c) Cigars are always better around the campfire at night.
d) My emotional state was at a level of such relief and bliss I could have been smoking a dog rocket.
e) Some combination of all of the above?

What do you think!??!?!

I always enjoy my cigars more smoking with other people!!!

Heck... I would enjoy your cigars more smoking with other people!!!:D

I also enjoy smoking my cigars with other people....I find myself smoking too fast when Im alone

Are we sharing emotions now?

Probably a little of all the above. A dog rocket would have ruined it but with a lesser cigar it probably would have been just as good.

I would say it was a little of everythig you listed that made it a great smoke. If you are in the right frame of mind with great friends, a smoke will always taste better IMO.

Why not contemplate the answer to the question you pose with another smoke? Then the answers should become clear...if not, well you just had another awesome smoke.

I almost always seem to enjoy my cigars more when I'm smoking with others. Something about it it makes the experience more memorable.

I seem to enjoy smokes more when I'm with other people. It may be that I am getting additional pleasure out of watching someone else's enjoyment of a smoke, especially if I gave it to them :ss

I believe all of the above. Bob and Dale discussed this on an older DogWatch Cigar Radio podcast and they tend to agree that comaradarie can make a terrific difference.

Man, I have to work on reading comprehension some more

I could have thought that the subject was "Mods, Lotions and Cigars"

I was sure that Dustin would post in this thread :tu :r :bn
