My dog ran away...

Great Story. Im glad to hear that you and your dog were reunited and found a BOTL. Last time my dog got free, she snuck through the fence after a windstorm and then an hour later I get a call from the pound saying they have her in custody. So, I go down and there she was. Sitting next to the pound warden, licking at her hand and begging for a treat with her tail wagging a million miles an hour. She saw me come in and just looked at me like "ohh, hey there you are" then kept begging the lady warden for treats. Crazy mutt. Worst part is, it cost $40 to bail her out. Ohh well, I guess you can't put a price on unconditional love.

I am glad you got your dog back and made a new friend at the same time. I wouldn't know what to do if I lost my dog. I think you did the right think thanking you neighbor with a great smoke, especially when he saved you a lot of remorse. All is well that ends well.

GLAD YOU GOT HIM BACK!! It's amazing how attached one can get to animals.

Our dog is Rocky as well, named after you know who.

His previous owner called him Red Bull right after he was born(he is a reddish brown pit bull mix)

but Rocky it became.

the pups (Rocky and Pali girl-named after a famous pig hunting dog) are the kids in our family. They are massive now but will always puppies to me. :ss

I know how you feel, my yellow lab runs away all the time. We have to keep her tied up now, which I hate doing. :(

The funny thing is, my neighbor is usually the only one who can get her back on her leash.

Fantastic. Congrats on getting Rocky back and finding a smoking buddy.

You guys going to be smoking Rocky cigars this weekend? :)

Now this might be funny but who knows????? This jhing hust hit my mind I dont know why.

Maybe the guy was smoking a Cigar so the dog thought it was you and followed the smell, he passed the smell and saw it wasn't you. The neighbor saw the dog maybe he knew it was yours or not he aproached the dog the dog started running the wrong way. And he ran after it So he can bring i back. Who knows? maybe its a nice story for a book. lol

Glad to hear you got him back.My lab once escaped as someone had left the back gate open.It was about 8pm and luckily my neigbour saw hime running around the culdesac.

Nice dog anyway.

Nice story. I have a yellow lab named Jake. The big dumb lugs can kinda grow on you, can't they?
