My father and the 2:30 a.m. call

Hi Gang,

Just wanted to report back with some very positive news. I had been waiting for his meds to stabilize before I allowed myself to get too happy and just yesterday he got word from the labs he's finally where he needs to be. :tu

Now we just need to keep a close eye on his lifestyle and I think we're going to make it through the woods on this one. It's going to be an uphill battle since he thought a chilli-burger was 'healthy' because the beans have protein in them but I'd say it's a battle worth fighting for.

I have to thank Marianne for prompting me to post an update but I'm sure you all understand my hesitation to post something really positive only to find out his labs took a dump and we were right back where we started. Happy to say that is not the case and ol' Leo celebrated his 71st Birthday the day before mine this past weekend. The family was all together which is rare and it was a very blessed and enjoyable weekend.

Thank you all so much for your support in my time of need. While it may sound odd, I carried your thoughts and prayers around with me in my head whenever I would start to worry about my dad. It really helped, so thanks again. Lets hope he continues to live a long and healthy life and consider this experience simply a warning shot across the bow.

Again, thank you all so much for the kind thoughts and words.

Eric
