Opus X and Anejo's ?

Never had either one. I've heard good things about both but never dared fork over that much money for stogies :ss
 
Wait a second. You have 30 of each!?! Good lord man that is nuts. Just 30 OpusX are worth more than all of the stogies I've ever bought. Famous Smoke has a 22 cigar OpusX sampler for $750. :w

Opus x's aren't too bad...Anejos are "to die for". They are one of my top 3 smokes and if I could find them all the time they would be a daily smoke. One of these days I need to get around to posting a thread about my recent purchases...:D
 
I think that they are both good cigars for the MSRP (even with a "reasonable" mark-up), but not for the gouged up prices they are usually found going for. If they were more readily available, they might give the Padrons in my collection a good run.

I like the Opus X over the few Anejo I've smoked, but I've never had an aged Anejo seeinfg I just bought/tried my first this year. But the Anejos I did try were great. So all in all I guess you could say I really like both.

I love the opus x when it's been aged for a bit. Otherwise they're not too thrilling.
 
VERY NICE!!! thats quite a little stash you have there. I have a little stash myself. i want to say 12 or 14 Opus left now in 7 different sizes one being the "A". 16 Anejo in 4 different sizes. Shark No.77 is my favorite Anejo!

Opus is good right out of the box but give a year and notice a change, give it 2 years and the bite is taken out and the flavors mess to prefeXion.

Anjeo is wonderful right out the box. The maduro wrapper aged in Congac barrels adds sweetness but doesnt over take the cigar. Give it some age and PURE EXCELLENT is created. Wonderful smoke!

I have never had one of these...what do you call them opus anejos or x somethings (wink wink) gee if someone who has a lot of them would like to get rid of 1 or 2, maybe 10 I'd be willing to let you know how I liked them;)

RZ is the man, he helped me get the Anejos from his B&M and when I visited the shop again they had X's in quite a few different vitolas :dr

Keep an eye out around here for wts threads. Thats where I was able to puck up both anejos and some opus x's. Even got a full box of anejo 50's a few weeks ago.
 
I like Anejo's but prefer Opus with a minimum of a year on them.

I also like GOF but still prefer the Opus over this as well.

Now Cremosa, thats a cigar that I would rather not think about

I have "some" of each. I've actually gotten rid of more than half a box of power rangers now because I didn't feel like I needed that many. I think I'll be keeping and aging the rest of them. Maybe one a year for a while to see how they progress.

I have smoked 2 different size Opus X and both were ok at best. Toward the end they got that sour tar taste. Yes I was purging them.
Almost finished with my first Anejo, IMO they are better than the Opus. But this is the only Anejo that I have smoked to date.
 
I have smoked the Opus X and enjoyed it, I have three others to age. The Anejo's I have not tried yet, but I also have three of those to age. I guess I ought to light one up.

Come to think of it, today will be a perfect day to do so!
 
Big fan of both Opus and Anejos. I think they are mostly overpriced, and hard to find, but I cant help myself. I like them, so I buy them when I can.

To be honest, I like Opus and Anejos and have a friend with a store who calls me when they come in. I generally keep a stock to gift and trade.

They are not my favorite smoke, but are not my least favorite.
 
IMHO, Opus and Anejo are over rated. I don't care for opus all that much. I like certain vitolas of the Anejo, but there are other smokes I'd have first.

Have had a couple of both. Favorite was the Shark.

I fall into the category of thinking they are a good cigar but I doubt I would ever buy them. If I was to spend that much per cigar, there are 5 or 6 others I would rather have.

No doubt about it though, they are both a great cigar.
