Wow, I wish I was able to make it, that looked like a great time. The entire Padron line is awesome. I have never smoked one I didn't like.

It's very intresting to me.

I have seen from this post and others that thier are plenty members here on CS from NYC hanging out here and in the B&M's in Manhatan. I get this feeling latly while I'm in the shops that some one siting there might be a member here on CS but the funny thing is I allways try to bring this site up in a conversations and no one knows about this site.

I find that most of these places have a certain uniqueness each one for it self.
I was in this particular store "De La Concha " Yesterday for the second time the first time I didnt stay becaue I didnt like the seating open to the street. But this time a chair was available in the back so I decided to light up. I met a few nice people.
The funy thing is some guys where holding cigars they said they just got for free from the guys him self, I only had that once in the Daivdoff store that a cigar maker happened to b there and gave away a cigar or 2 when you paid for one. But how do you guys know to be there everytime these event happen?? Are you friends with all the sales guys in these stores?

And one more thing, If anyone here was in this store last night and saw me sit on one of those chairs after 6PM please give me a buzz.

You can sign up for De La Concha's mailing list, and they will e-mail you whenever they have an event. I used to go often when I worked in that area. The last 2 times for for events, or when certain cigars come out, one of the guys in the shop put some on the side for me.

......I never got the email, which is a shame because I would have totally jumped Mr. Maduro for his new smokes. :ss

Is that b/c you spend enough money there, or are you just a smooth talker?
Lucky. :ss

Actually, I try to deal with the same person in every B&M I go to just to build a relationship that can pay off in the long run, but with De La Concha I know one of the guys who work there who lived in my neighborhood way back. I also spend a lot of money there and they get commission from their sales.

Nice. It's always good to form positive relationships with people. Supporting the B&M's is a wonderful thing too (as hard as it is sometimes with online pricing). I wish they had more of those Reservas. They sold out way too fast, even at that price.
